Abstract :
Several methods have been proposed for detection and classification of power quality (PQ) issues using wavelet transform (WT). In this paper, the best method is presented for each disturbance using comparison and combination of these methods. The proposed method increases accuracy of detection and, moreover, it has better performance for detection of frequency intervals of the disturbances. However, this method has some shortcomings such as large amount of computations. Therefore, a new method is proposed which decreases the computations and, moreover, this method can perform detection, processing and comparison of disturbances simultaneously.
