Abstract :
This paper presents design of a novel Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) which is utilized for power quality improvement. The control strategy of proposed DVR is based on fuzzy system and hysteresis voltage control utilizing minimized number of membership function. With this designation, DVR is able to restore all types of voltage sags, swells, flicker and unbalance voltage and other distortions. It is able to simultaneously reduce the harmonic voltage on sensitive equipments. The simulation results are carried out by Matlab/Simulink and it confirms the fast dynamic response and vigorous rejection of the disturbance of new topology.
