Abstract
In this paper, a Four Switch Three Phase Inverter (FSTPI) Shunt Active Power Filter (SAPF) is proposed. This novel configuration has many advantages like reduction of cost, switching loss and smaller drive circuit. In this SAPF, current harmonic spectra is used to generate reference signals. Current reference signals are converted to voltage reference signals using a PI controller. Utilizing voltage signal instead of current signal has several advantages. The most important benefit is the ability of balancing the FSTPI by using DC link neutral point voltage in modulation. More ever, this configuration is robust against source voltage harmonics.
