Abstract :
The quadratic-nonlinear theory of multiharmonic superheterodyne free electron laser (SFEL) with the longitudinal electrostatic undulator is constructed. It is shown, that the multiple parametric resonances of the space charge waves (SCW) take place in the investigated SFEL Their growth increments do not depend on frequencies of waves. It has been found out, that multi-harmonic resonances of longitudinal waves of SCW determine the dynamics of higher harmonics of the electromagnetic signal. It is proposed to use these systems in order to form powerful multihar-monic electromagnetic signal in mm-submm wavelength range.
