Abstract :
Due to the satellite´s orbital movement and the Earth´s rotation, the communications satellite network has a time-varying topology and its links have limited lifetimes. This dynamic network is conventionally simplified as a series of discrete finite states in the relative researches. In this paper, a dynamic modeling method is proposed for the continuous state evolution of the network which regards the link as a logic switch while the whole network as a sequential logic circuit. The boundary point set corresponds to the logic input function which decides the state transition, and the dynamic state evolution of the link is then presented as an equivalent logic oscillogram. In this way, the connectivity examination and the coverage performance calculation can be executed easily with AND or OR logic operation on the boundary point sets. This dynamic model retains all the state information in a simple form and paves a higher-quality and easy way for the further researches on communications satellite link network.
