  • Abstract
    The high frequency electromagnetic anti-scaling is widely studied as a nonpolluting anti-scaling technology of the circulating cooling water system. The anti-scaling mechanism is that the high frequency electromagnetic field can change the speed of crystallization and the crystal size of calcium carbonate, which is the most common form of scales. According to the requirements of the high frequency electromagnetic anti-scaling technology, we designed a high power and high frequency electromagnetic anti-scaling system, whose output frequency ranges from 10 KHz to 1MHz and output power can reach 200W. In addition, a micro-prototype circulating water equipment was designed for the experimental research. Observed under scanning electron microscope, the shape and size of carbonate crystals had obvious changes after the electromagnetic processing, which indicated that high frequency electromagnetic had a commendable anti-scaling effect.
