Abstract
In order to evaluate the effect of noise on fine-motor performance, we tested the two-point discrimination threshold of hand and the time of completing a task under different levels of noises. The results showed that particular level of noise can improve the performance of hand. Lastly, we discuss the possible explanation that stochastic resonance in nervous system may account for the effect.
