Abstract :
In computer vision, the existing model used for dehazing is based on single scattering of atmosphere, so it cannot eliminate blurring in the images. In this paper, we propose a novel model for dehazing by including multiple scattering into the existing model. Based on visual manifestations, we conclude that scene radiance can be blurred by neighborhood radiance due to multiple scattering of atmosphere. With necessary simplification, we modeled multiple scattering as an aggregation of neighborhood radiance. Experiments demonstrate that our model can be applied in many existing approaches for dehazing and blurring effects can be significantly eliminated.
