Abstract :
To detect small targets from passive millimeter wave (PMMW) images, a spatial filter algorithm based on dualistic taylor series is proposed for background suppression. First, a linear model is used to represent each pixel of a PMMW image. Secondly, target detection is performed on local regions in PMMW images by the spatial filter algorithm and the constant false alarm rate (CFAR) detector. The spatial filter algorithm uses a pedestrian detection module to suppress background. The CFAR detector is used to afford a threshold, with its help targets can be extracted. Simulation results show that the proposed method performs well for PMMW small target detection.
