Abstract :
In this paper, reconstruction of porous rocks is investigated by the limited morphological information obtained from computerized tomography (CT) image. A procedure is formulated to reconstruct sandstones´ structure by simulated annealing algorithm (SAA) which is improved on the basis of the methodology developed by Rintoul and Torquato. This procedure has the advantage that it is simple to implement and generally applicable to multiphase and anisotropic structures. In our work, using n-point probability function as the dominant condition, we consider reconstructions of a variety of two-dimensional (2D) structures, including chessboard model and sandstone samples with different porosity and geometric properties. We find that there is remarkable coherence between the reconstruction system and the reference system through statistical analysis.
