Abstract
In this paper, remotely sensed landscape index analysis over 10 years, indoor and outdoor experimental analysis and statistical analysis were utilized to study a typical alpine wetland at Maqu County in eastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in China for the relation between landscape change and biodiversity. We investigated: 1) changes of alpine wetland vegetation diversity and biomass; 2) germination conditions and characteristics of the main constructive species at alpine wetland eco-system; and 3) dynamic changes and causes of alpine wetland landscape. The results indicated degradation of wetlands was the primary cause for resulting in reduction of wetland biodiversity and increase in the risk of wetland ecosystem, over the last 10 years.
