  • Abstract
For the sake of increasing the precision of identifying flutter derivatives of bridge decks and the stability of convergence in the process of nonlinear least-square iteration, based on the decaying free motion records of bridge deck segment model, a new method was put forward to identify flutter derivatives of bridge deck. Based on a thin plate and the Chongqing CaiyUanba long bridge over Yangtze river, the wind tunnel tests of their section models were carried out, and their flutter derivatives were identified by the new method. The results have indicated the effectiveness of the method.
