Abstract :
ISO-surface extraction is an effective manner to study the visualization of three-dimensional data. To solve the ambiguity question of the existing ISO-surface extraction algorithms, an efficient ISO-surface extraction method which uses saddle points to ensure the topology correct is proposed in this paper. The experiment shows that the speed of the algorithm is quietly improved whenever the given ISO-value is smoothly changed or randomly changed.
