Bibliometric analysis of the domestic clustering algorithm research

By using all the research papers related to the clustering algorithms which were collected by the China Journal Full-text Database (CJFD) during 2002 - 2009, this paper has studied the present status and trend of the clustering algorithm research in China from the points of the papers´ quantity, periodicals, authors and subject by means of bibliometric analysis. The number of the papers shows the increase trend, though there is lack of innovation and empirical research in the content and research leaders; The stream data clustering, outlier analysis and user behavior analysis have been focus in this field. However, there is not enough empirical research. Facing the exist various problems in this field, the domestic researchers should track the foreign study to make it combined with practice, then produce the economy benefit and promote the domestic clustering algorithm research to be more forward and practical.
