Abstract :
Stripe noise existing in all of remote sensing image which use of multiple detectors seriously affected the image quality. The existing stripe noise filtering methods have focused on the relatively narrow bandwidth or the law distribution stripe noise. However, because of different imaging mechanism, any width of the band may exist in the actual remote sensing images. Therefore, this paper presents an improved method of stripe noise elimination. This method is not subject to the restriction of band width and periodicity. It can automatically classify and smooth the stripe noises within any rows in AVIRIS image. By simulating on AVIRIS image, we can prove that this method can not only remove the stripe noises, but also can better ensure the quality of the image.
