Abstract :
By the panel data of 31 provinces in China from 2001 to 2008, this paper analyses the influence of basic factor of production and environmental on the regional innovation. The results show that it is very important to improve the regional innovation capability from the angle of R&D investment, raising the level of research personnel and enhancing the infrastructure construction. At last, according to the conclusion and Chinese economic situation, some proposals are put forward for promoting innovation in western area.
