Abstract :
This paper applies Grid Computing techniques to 3D CAD system selection and collaborations. The paper first proposes a software architecture based on Grid Computing,then describes the data structures and XML based methods to describe 3D CAD grid resources. Next, it presents a solution to share data between different 3D CAD systems, and a Globus based software prototype implementation is given.
