Abstract
Some potential, structural and long-term accumulated problems gradually arose while the economic volume was growing rapidly in Tianjin. Generally, deterioration of water quality, soil pollution, air pollution, and bio-safety is focused by us. However, Greenhouse gases, global warming and disorders of the climate system gradually became the main factors to affect sustainable human development. Countries around the world had begun to work in greenhouse gas emissions to explore a low-carbon path of economic development. In this paper, on basis of the characteristics of the energy structure in Tianjin, the carbon dioxide emissions arose from the 77.431 million tons to 140.669 million tons which were calculated by fossil fuel combustion and rural biomass conversion from 2000 to 2007, and at the same time the elasticity of CO2 emissions was achieved. The CO2 emissions were till a growing trend by analyzing and predicting the future of CO2 in Tianjin. The CO2 emissions may exceed 200 million tons among ten years after 2007. Finally, the influence of CO2 emissions was analyzed, and the related solutions were put forward.
