Abstract :
The biodegradable composites made from secondary flber(SF) and cyanoethylated secondary flber(CSF) were prepared by press forming, and the effect of alkali pretreatment and combined pretreatment of alkali and silane coupling agent KH550 on secondary fiber and composites were investigated. The optimum content of SF is 10 wt% because the hot melt viscosity of CSF was higher than that of traditional thermoplastic resins, and interfacial adhesion strength between SF and CSF is weak. Alkali pretreatment and combined pretreatment of alkali and silane coupling agent KH550 on secondary fiber results in enhancing the mechanical of composites. Furthermore, compared with alkali pretreatment, composites reforced with combined pretreated of alkali and silane coupling agent KH550 SF show better mechanical properties, because of combined effect alkali and silane coupling agent KH550 resulting in improving interfacial adhesion strength between SF and CSF.
