Abstract
Construction safety is influenced by a lot of factors. By the traditional Analytic Hierarchy Process, the relative importance of some factors is marked with point value by experts, which increases the judgment uncertainty. Based on the characteristics of construction, the safety evaluation index system for construction sites is established, the weight of each index is decided by the Interval Analytic Hierarchy Process (IAHP) and its consistency is tested as well. It is shown that the rating of factors is: safety production management, safety technical management, subcontract management, safety education, environment and health condition and occupational health protection. It is of high feasibility to apply IAHP in evaluating the levels of construction safety management.
