  • Abstract
Heat transfer enhancement by pulsation flow is a kind of effective technique of heat enhancement, which has some particular superior functions and received considerable attention in the world in the past decades. In the paper, heat transfer enhancement by pulsation flow has been studied by theoretical analyses, numerical simulation and experiment method. We investigated different heat transfer case based on the experiment, when pulse equipment was put on the upstream or the downstream, analyzing the effect of pulse frequency, the location of pulse apparatus and other factor. Heat transfer performance for laminar and turbulent pulsating pipe flow under different conditions of pulsation frequency, amplitude and different fluid were numerically investigated by applying Fluent software in this paper. This paper also set foundation for further investigates on heat transfer with pulsation flow.
