Abstract
In this paper, the numerical simulation and experimental study are both used to solve the issue about the A2/O activated sludge process of one wastewater treatment plant. By the application of the standard model and moving-mesh method of the FLUENT, the velocity maps were got finally. The optimum scheme was found by the comparison of the maps in different scheme. The experimental model was set on the basis of Froude Number, and the qualitative observation of the experiment with walnut shell filtering proved the geometric similarity of the experimental model and the geometric model in numerical simulation in the jet field. This paper also set foundation for further investigates on the submersible mixer.
