  • Abstract
The direct-drive wind power generation system based on permanent magnet DC motor is researched, and the converter models of generator side and power network side is analyzed in detail. The system consists of a permanent magnet DC motor- generator set, a rectifier of high power factor, a boost converter and a full power inverter. The practical wind speed is simulated by the change of motor speed which is resulted in the time-varying terminal voltage of the DC motor. The mathematical model of the system is built in Saber, and the control modes of the converters in the generator side and power network side are analyzed. The simulation result shows that the system could work stably in different wind speed, and the output voltage waveform of the inverter in the power network side is an approximate sinusoidal wave with small harmonic content and high power quality. The correctness and effectiveness of the system are also demonstrated.
