Abstract :
This thesis describes a novel single phase switched reluctance motor for household appliances. The structure and winding connection fashion is given in the first part. Then the characteristic of the motor is analysis by finite-element analysis (FEA) method. The flux linkage and torque characteristics are got by simulation respectively. At last a converter was proposed to realize the starting and bi-direction running.
