  • Abstract
The liner synchronous generator system is developed. Vibration occurs when various vehicles are operated. Mechanical vibration of the vehicle is absorbed by mechanical dampers or other facilities. So these energy is consumed wastefully. Using the linear generator, energy of mechanical vibration is converted to electric energy. Also this generator can work as the active damper. The experimental device has been developed. The method of the linear generator is shown. The real vibration data is measured by the handy measurement system and vibration is reproduced at the mechanical vibration generator. This vibration generator is connected to the mover of the linear generator. The vibration data of the automobile (the car and the light load truck) is measured. Using this data, characteristics of the liner synchronous generator are measured. The experimental results show the linear generator works adequately.
