Abstract
Wireless electric power distribution is very attractive to power for mobile equipment, such as mobile phones and Electric Vehicles. Magnetic-field coupling is most popular way to provide wireless power distribution. There are some disadvantages, such as power decrease for inexact connection. Authors have proposed wireless power distribution with capacitive coupling to overcome disadvantages. In this paper a new wireless power distribution using capacitive coupling is proposed excited by multi-stage switched mode active capacitor to increase provided power. The proposed system improves power transfer efficiency without LC resonance so that it is robust against parameter change. In addition the proposed active negative capacitor works stable without any feedback loop. First, the principle of the proposed method is introduced with simulation and experiments. Then multi-stage active negative capacitance is proposed to improve distribution power. The multi-stage active capacitor is verified through simulations.
