Abstract :
In order to evaluate the solenoid actuator´s reliability characteristics, we performed the following four-step approaching methods : (1) Firstly, the main test items decided through 2-stage QFD after analysis of the cause and effect of major failure modes through FMEA and FTA (2) The performance test was carried out by use of five sample solenoid actuators (3) Life test was performed based on the developed optimal acceleration model. (4) Finally, the major reliability parameters were deducted by analysis of MINITAP software. As results, this paper presents some kinds of failure analysis data and the major reliability parameters of industrial solenoid actuator such as shape parameter(ß), scale parameter(θ), location parameter(γ), and so on. And also, we introduce the optimal acceleration model and acceleration factor including the important equations and graphs needed for getting them.
