Abstract
In order to improve the performance of complementary half controlled three phase PWM boost rectifier, an improved control scheme including the current coordinate control and grid voltage oriented control is proposed. The current coordinate control is applied to obtain sinusoidal grid-side input currents and steady DC bus voltages. Grid voltage oriented control is applied to eliminate the impact of grid voltage distortion on grid-side input currents and implement independent control of active and reactive power. The simulation model using the Matlab/simulink was built to validate the availability of the proposed control scheme. The simulation results demonstrate that the low THD of the input current and the steady DC voltage can be obtained even if the grid voltage is distorted with the unbalanced and harmonic component.
