Abstract :
With ever-increasing concerns on our environment and the oil price, there is a fast growing interest in hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) for researchers. As power distribution is the core of HEVs, so it is necessary to develop a power transmission system. In this paper, a new type of switched reluctance (SR) electrical variable transmission (EVT) for HEVs is presented. Then, three major research contents of the dual-rotor SRM are elaborated, namely, the configuration of the motor, the design of parameters of the new motor, the performance analysis and the experimental results of the dual-rotor switched reluctance motor (SRM).
