Abstract :
In this paper, a review focused on the control theory of induction machines (IM) is presented. Then, the influences of dead time and voltage drop of switching devices are discussed. Consequently, considering both effects of dead time and voltage drop, an improved stator flux observation strategy for the direct torque controlled (DTC) EVI drive system is proposed. A simulation model is developed and an experiment platform based on DSpace DS1103 is built. Both simulation and experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.
