Application study of ergonomics on college apartments´ unit furniture

At present, university students are a major concern in our society. Student apartment is the main place for both living and resting. The design of apartments´ unit furniture not only have great influence on life quality of students, but also have important meaning towards students´ body and mind health. This paper takes Nanchang University as an example, analyzes the present situation of student apartment´s unit furniture, and find out design flaws of unit furniture. Methods: the data of height are obtained by taking 240 students in Nanchang University at random. Using statistical software-SPSS, we can carry out statistical analysis on the data of height and get the statistical data of the students´ height. According to design flaws of present unit furniture, we provide some suggestion based on human factors engineering. The object is designing apartments´ unit furniture of humanity for students´ living and resting and providing comfortable studying environment for students.
