Abstract :
People with different backgrounds have different cognitive processing, which can affect how they use computers. With the computer technology developing and user specializing, different information processing of specific user of interface design has become significant issues, especially in the information processing system. Studying on information processing differences of specific user from various perspectives, including information accumulation, decisionmaking, etc, can provide useful information which can guide and modify interface design. In this paper, we made a simulation design of the ship navigation information system(used in medium size ship) to show how the information processing of specific user affect the design and creatively developed design conceptions the "reduced information processing strategy" to address effects effectively. Finally, we offered a brief conclusion, and throw light onto future work.
