Abstract :
This paper presents the design of a portable network intelligent video target tracking system based on TI multimedia Digital Signal Processor (DSP). The system can do a real-time processing of HD video data acquired from the CMOS sensor, accomplish intelligent video target detection and tracking according to the rules set by the user. At the same time it sends alarms and records the information. In this system, a video target tracking approach was implemented and optimized based on Mean Shift algorithm. Mixture of Gaussian background modeling, erosion and dilation operation of morphology and moving target detection algorithm are introduced to improve video target tracking. Experimental results have shown that the system is stable and fits real-time requirement. It provides users with quick, accurate and intelligent video target tracking services.
