  • Abstract
Restoration quality of motion-blurred image is highly dependent on the evaluation accuracy of the motion blur parameter. The motion blur direction and extent parameters can be determined by a single image without any prior knowledge. A linear motion blur parameter identification method, which is based on the cepstrum domain obtained from the intentional restored image, is proposed in this paper. With the assumed forward ramp point spread function (PSF), Wiener filter is applied to restore the original image from the blurred image and an isotropic derivative operator is involved to suppress the low frequency components of Green´s function. The method is tested on the simulation images as well as the real world blurred images. The experimental comparisons show that the algorithm proposed here has a higher accuracy and evaluation range than other three algorithms.
