Abstract :
This paper describes a dynamics model of a underwater glide vehicle. And a accurate model for calculating fluid dynamics of glide hydrofoil is also incorporated into the simulation. The model is used to simulate the glide motion of the underwater glide vehicle which is propelled and controlled through changing the gravity and location of gravity. The simulation results indicate that the underwater glide vehicle can steadily complete the underwater glide motion. The results also show that the velocity, pitching angle and attack angle has definite fluctuate when the underwater glide vehicle change the glide mode, and they would get stabilization at a definite time.
