  • Abstract
Kinematic accuracy of CNC gear shaper has great influence on the machining precision of gear work piece. The kinematic accuracy of CNC gear shaper is determined by coupling effects of mechanical system, control system and driving components of the gear shaper. In order to improve the kinematic accuracy of a large and heavy duty CNC gear shaper, a coupled electromechanical model of the gear shaper was set up. Based on the model, proportional gain and integral gain parameters of the control system of the gear shaper were optimized. With the optimized PI parameter, the reverse driving torque and the response time of the rotatory worktable were significantly reduced, and thus the speed and stability of the machine was improved, thereby improving the kinematic accuracy of the machine. The work in this paper is helpful to design and manufacture of machine tools.
