Abstract
Loom warp tension had a significant impact on the quality of fabric. In order to better control warp tension of rapier loom and prevent negative impacts on the quality of the fabric by reason of the excessive fluctuation. This paper took let-off system of SAURER400 rapier loom as experimental subject and adopted the simulation system of MATLAB to check up the advantage and disadvantage of three kinds of commonly used control algorithm (PID, fuzzy-PID, single neuron adaptive PID) on control warp tension. The experimental results showed that single neuron adaptive PID control algorithm is superior to PID control and fuzzy PID control in the area of response time and overshoot, etc, and the single neuron adaptive PID control can reduce the warp tension fluctuation effectively.
