Abstract :
In this paper, a sensitivity analysis is performed for ferroresonance simulations considering variations in model parameters (e.g., magnetizing characteristics) and initial conditions. A three-phase three-leg transformer model is implemented for this study. The possible bifurcations and time-domain ferroresonant oscillations caused by circuit breaker switching with series and shunt capacitances interacting with the magnetizing inductances of the three-phase transformer core are compared. The influence of initial conditions (e.g., switching instant) is also examined. This study highlights the deviations in the predicted temporal behavior of ferroresonance oscillations that may occur for small parameter variations.
