Abstract :
Auxiliary swing test-bed is a test device which can complete performance tests of the ship auxiliary equipment by simulating the motion of ships in the water in the laboratory environment. This paper presented a swing test-bed with high torque and dynamic load of three-degree of freedom (3-DOF) in the use of performance tests of the ship auxiliary equipment. It mainly simulated the motion of rolling, pitching and heaving in a specific sea state, set up a mechanical model of parallel mechanism, and put forward a new method to the design (load-carrying capability of the middle column) of the swing test-bed against the requirement for high torque loads. This paper also made reliability accounting on the key mechanical structure of the test-bed by ANSYS. And the result verified the reliability of the mechanical structure and feasibility of the new design method.
