Abstract :
Control of shape and position of plasma plays an important role in the EAST Tokamak discharge. Plasma position detection is an important factor to achieve long time steady-state plasma discharge in Tokamak. This paper presents adaptive plasma edge detection and tracking algorithm. The edge of plasma is obtained after correction and fitting of the image data acquired by high speed Charge Coupled Device (CCD). Then realizing the track of shape and position of discharging plasma. Experiments show that the algorithm is well used in EAST super conducting Tokamak.
