Abstract
Reflectarray antenna consisting of circular disk elements is presented in this paper. A variety of element shapes have been investigated in the literature. However, circular disk element can be scarcely found in the open literature. Advantage of the circular disk over the rectangular patch lays in its phase response independence from the azimuth angle which results in less phase error and high efficiency. The whole structure including the antenna feed is designed and simulated using the CST Microwave Studio which makes possible the prediction of frequency shift and side lobe level. The antenna is also measured. It is shown that the simulation and measurement are in good agreement.
