Abstract :
A novel RFID tag antenna with a coupled loop added on a meandered dipole is proposed to match the complex impedances of chips without additional matching network for both 915MHz and 2.45GHz RFID systems. The antenna has a low-profile, compact size (15mm ×75mm), and its maximum gain is over 2dBi in H-plane on both bands. An equivalent circuit of the antenna is analyzed and the design procedure is presented. The measured results of the antenna have a good agreement with its simulated results. Own to simple structure, the proposed antenna can be easily fabricated and widely used in practical applications.
