Abstract :
In this work, we proposed equivalent circuit of coplanar waveguide employing periodic ground structure (PGS) on GaAs MMIC for application to monolithic microwave integrated circuit(MMIC). The coplanar waveguide employing PGS showed a wavelength much shorter than conventional transmission line. A wavelength of PGS can be controlled by changing width of PGS, T. Equivalent circuit of short wavelength coplanar waveguide employing PGS was investigated using theoretical analysis. Concretely, equivalent circuits for PGS cell were extracted, and all lumped circuit parameters were expressed by closed-form equation. It showed good RF characteristics compared with measured RF characteristics.
