Abstract :
This paper presents a novel circular microstrip-fed antenna design targeting the UWB applications. The proposed antenna yields an impedance bandwidth of 3.1-10.6 GHz with VSWR <; 2. More importantly, time domain and frequency domain measurements on the antenna have been used to estimate short-range UWB signal transmission, propagation, and reception, and reveal some properties of this class of antennas, which are not recognized.
