Abstract
An improved approach to measurements of radar cross section (RCS) based on near-field to far-field transformation by using array-factor (AF) is presented. Plane wave illuminates the rotating target and the receiving probe antenna detects reflected wave at near the target. Collected near measurement data is transformed to the far-field by using array-factor which is considered 2nd source. Both RCS, mono- and bi-static mode can be measured in the same time by the new RCS measurement system showed in this paper.
