Abstract :
In this paper, Modified-T equivalent circuit is used to replace long microstrip line to reduce area impact of Package or Printed Circuit Board. Conventional RLCG model of transmission line has been instead of Modified T equivalent circuit, which contains two series inductors, mutual inductor and grounded capacitors to perform the broadband electrical characteristic of long microstrip line. The elements in this equivalent circuit model can be extracted directly from the S-parameters. Area of achievement circuit is 1.3mm*1.4mm, performed in IPD processing to instead of 3cm microstrip line in PCB, area saving is 99% by using this novel design. This chip of Modify-T Model can replace the transmission line on PCB of thin and small product.
