Abstract :
Nonlinear diffusion-based selective smoothing methods reduce the gradual changes well. These methods well preserve the edges and even enhance them in some cases. In this paper a new method based on the combination of complex diffusion and bilateral filter is proposed. The complex diffusion is applied to blocky frame as a preprocessing step to apply the bilateral filter. Experimental results confirm the performance of the proposed method.
