Abstract :
An accident of fire breakdown on high voltage XLPE cable is introduced in this paper in detail. As per the accident investigation analysis we found that there were various problems deal with cable manufacture, installation work, approval work and operation work etc., and finally caused the cable fault occurrence. Based on the accident analysis, some suggestions are proposed to prevented the similar accident occurs again.
