Abstract :
A reliability growth model for 220 kV power transmission and distribution installations is presented. Ways for estimating and fitting on checking the model´s parameters are given together analysis results concerning the reliability growth of six kinds of 220 kV power transmission and distribution installations, such as 220 kV power transformers, circuit breakers, isolating switches, surge arresters, current transformers and voltage transformers. On site operation, statistical reliability data show that the reliability growth model conforms to rules of reliability growth tendency. Analysis results of reliability growth indicate that measures taken for improving maintenance and operation by the power companies are effective and the reliability of the domestic power transmission and distribution installations exhibit a rising tendency. Applications of the reliability growth model to predict the change tendency of reliability for transmission and distribution installations is suitable.
