Abstract :
Harmonic brings all kinds of harms to the power system and the loads in parallel. This paper will demonstrate the application of the harmonic filter adding to the 35kV hybrid var compensator by introducing the reconstruction of a steel plant. The installation performs well at controlling the harmonic and improving the power quality by practicing. It´s proved worth to be popularized.
